CTG is seeking to fill a Business Systems Analyst VII opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.
**Location:** Remote
**Duration:** 6 months
**Overview:**
CTG is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst VII to provide strategic direction and expert-level analysis for enterprise applications. This role plays a critical part in improving the technology portfolio through leadership in application functionality, project execution, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development and support, project leadership, and enterprise-level systems analysis.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Consult with client management to assess short and long-term business requirements and propose innovative, forward-thinking solutions.
+ Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
+ Provide guidance to team members on technical specifications, system design, and application functionality.
+ Translate business needs into functional specifications to support system enhancements and development efforts.
+ Lead the development and execution of complex project plans for enterprise-level applications.
+ Provide status updates and present on project progress to senior leadership.
+ Act as subject matter expert (SME) in application functionality, testing, and integration activities.
+ Recommend and implement policies, procedures, and technologies that improve efficiency, functionality, and customer satisfaction.
+ Ensure alignment with regulatory standards and risk controls.
+ Support diversity and inclusion within the team and represent the organization professionally.
**Scope of Responsibilities:**
+ Strategic planning and execution of application changes to meet evolving business and compliance needs.
+ Provide mentorship and leadership for junior analysts and developers.
+ Liaise between business units and IT to ensure applications meet operational and customer needs.
+ Collaborate with external vendors on software functionality and contract requirements.
+ Drive testing efforts and quality assurance across integrated systems.
**Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:**
+ Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
+ Lead cross-functional teams in project execution.
+ May have limited direct supervisory responsibilities.
**Education and Experience Required:**
+ Combined minimum of 10 years in higher education, operational/business analytics, or systems development.
+ Proven experience in large system enhancements, conversions, and production issue resolution.
+ Expertise in the system development life cycle (SDLC).
+ Strong understanding of cloud migration, site reliability engineering, and application resilience.
+ Proficiency in communication, problem solving, organization, time management, and strategic thinking.
**Education and Experience Preferred:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
+ Deep understanding of multiple business functions and how they intersect with technology.
+ Expertise in project management tools and software development platforms.
+ Familiarity with application framework and industry practices.
+ Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive change in complex environments.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60.00/hour to $80.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
