Entry Level Staff Accountant Location Columbia, TN : Preventia is a locally owned and operated alarm and low voltage company offering excellent service in the our industry. We are looking for a recent graduate for Entry Level - Staff Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting Team with Preventia Security.

Description Responsibilities for an Entry-Level Accountant:

• Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Assist in processing accounts payable transactions
• Conduct thorough invoice auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Reconcile bank statements promptly and accurately
• Provide support in preparing and posting journal entries
• Assist with commission calculations and ensure accuracy in commission payouts
• Contribute to month-end closing procedures, including preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts
• Ensure compliance with governmental, vendor, and customer requirements by maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulations

Education Requirements:

• Minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and functions
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software is preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Self-motivated and proactive mindset, with a strong attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of accounting
