East River Farms is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of our dispensary operations in Sioux Falls. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the dispensary, including driving sales, managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining strict regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive and customer-centric environment. The salary for this position ranges from **$50,000 to $65,000** annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and mentor dispensary staff, including budtenders, inventory specialists, and potentially assistant managers.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Resolve employee issues and conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
Promote a culture of compliance, customer service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Operational Management:
Oversee all daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures in accordance with state and local regulations.
Manage inventory levels effectively, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and conducting regular inventory audits to minimize loss and ensure product availability.
Ensure accurate cash handling procedures and oversee daily reconciliation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing dispensary environment that adheres to all safety and sanitation standards.
Manage security protocols and ensure the safety of staff, customers, and inventory.
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Sales and Customer Service:
Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and achieve revenue targets.
Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service by all staff members.
Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and new products.
Develop and implement promotional activities and marketing initiatives in compliance with regulations.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
Maintain a thorough understanding of all South Dakota cannabis laws and regulations.
Ensure strict adherence to all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales, inventory management, security, and record-keeping.
Implement and enforce compliance protocols to mitigate risk.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and inquiries.
Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports in a timely manner.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the dispensary budget, monitoring expenses and revenue.
Analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Work closely with ownership on financial reporting and forecasting.
Community Relations:
Represent East River Farms in the local community in a professional and positive manner.
Build relationships with local stakeholders and organizations.
Ensure the dispensary operates as a responsible and contributing member of the Sioux Falls community.

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive management experience in a retail environment, preferably within the cannabis industry or a highly regulated industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and the cannabis industry.
Thorough understanding of South Dakota cannabis laws and regulations.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Proven ability to drive sales and achieve financial targets.
Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other relevant software.
Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
