Le Chêne is seeking a highly skilled and driven Pastry Prep Cook to join this first restaurant project in New York City. The food at Le Chêne is a blend of French classics executed with a modern approach. This position is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef to be part of an exciting restaurant opening. The goal is to build a team that strives to learn together, push each other to be better and have fun while doing it!
As a Pastry Prep Cook, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service. The daily tasks will include heavy prep for all dessert, pithiviers making and scoring and setting up the station for the service team. This position is perfect for an pastry chef looking for flexible hours.
This is a full time position from Tuesday to Saturday or Monday through Friday. Hours can vary depending on the applicant, open to split morning and evening prep shifts.Key Requirements:
