Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Atwater, California. This position is expected to last for a couple of months and requires approximately 20 hours of work per week, with Mondays and Tuesdays being the primary workdays. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll processing and union reporting while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all tasks. Responsibilities: - Process biweekly payroll for a team of under 25 employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments. - Perform payroll reconciliation between Successware and the organization's internal systems. - Handle certified payroll reporting as needed, maintaining compliance with regulations. - Prepare union reports and manage associated payments. - Oversee 401K processing and reconcile records between the organization and Paychex. - Draft and review conditional and unconditional waivers and releases for vendors. - Set up employee deductions, including medical benefits, 401K contributions, tool program deductions, and final paychecks. - Complete commission sheets and input data into Microsoft Excel. - Track and manage vacation requests and employee absences.
