Description Robert Half is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, and delivering exceptional employee service. Key Responsibilities: + Process payroll for a workforce of [X] employees on a [weekly/bi-weekly/semi-monthly/monthly] schedule using [specify payroll software, if applicable]. + Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. + Handle payroll adjustments, such as wage changes, bonuses, commissions, and deductions. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements. + Administer employee benefits deductions, wage garnishments, and unemployment claims. + Generate payroll reports for management and accounting teams. + Respond promptly to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits. + Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to streamline payroll processes. Requirements + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred. + 2+ years of payroll processing experience. + Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms. + Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. + Strong communication and customer service skills.
