Job Title: Phlebotomist – Ambulatory

Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. | Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Position Overview

Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with an ambulatory care center in Raleigh, NC, to find a reliable and patient-focused Phlebotomist for a full-time, day shift opportunity. The ideal candidate will play a key role in specimen collection, registration, and laboratory workflow in a high-quality outpatient setting. Responsibilities

• Collect pathology specimens from patients in an ambulatory care setting, ensuring proper patient/specimen identification and documentation.

• Register and process incoming specimens and laboratory orders, prioritizing workflow to ensure timely specimen preparation and transport.

• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and manage inventory/supply levels responsibly.

• Utilize equipment and computer systems to label, package, and track specimens for delivery to the appropriate laboratory.

• Perform point-of-care testing (POCT), document routine equipment maintenance, and conduct quality control procedures as needed.

• Communicate clearly with patients regarding wait times and expectations, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.

• Provide service excellence by actively listening and engaging with patients in a respectful and courteous manner.

• Participate in ongoing training and maintain age-specific competencies as required.

• Collaborate with other staff and function independently with periodic supervisory review.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent – Required

• Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy Certificate program – Preferred

Experience:

• At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Phlebotomist or equivalent combination of education and training

Licensure/Certification:

• Phlebotomy certification – Preferred

Salary:

• $18-$21/hour (Depending on Experience)
