SUMMARY Lead assigned product categories through concept, design, production, and quality improvements and ensures the safety, compliance, reliability, and quality of all Kids2 products through in-depth product reviews and the Kids2 safety and risk assessment process. The Product Integrity Engineer will be expected to quickly become an expert in the company's product development process and the “go-to” person who understands product safety standards and how to apply them to design and testing for their assigned product categories. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform design and sample reviews and create formal reports for distribution to internal and external resources throughout the product development process.
- Test and research products.
- Support the cross-functional product development group including other engineers, product designers, and marketing with navigating through worldwide standards.
- Analyze consumer complaints and returns and work with quality engineering team in initiating necessary design or production changes.
- Ensure all safety and reliability design changes are implemented and documented for each Kids2 product.
- Maintain design, quality, production, and safety specifications for each product category and ensure all Kids2 products comply.
- Communicate with internal and third-party testing laboratories about testing methods, regulations, design validation, and consumer expectation requirements.
- Review and approve packaging, labeling, and instructions for Kids2 product.
- To generate product safety and reliability specifications as needed, including category specs and product specific specs, revise as needed.
- Set up meetings and issues reports for internal distribution for the Kids2 pre-production approval process.
- Travel to China or US when necessary to train and strengthen relationship with other Kids2 team members and vendors.
- Research global requirements.
- Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE - 1-3 years of experience and/or internship in the fields of engineering or safety.
- Experience giving technical presentations.
- Knowledge of industry product safety standards is preferred.
- Engineering experience (intern, part-time or full-time) with a manufacturing company to gain the ability to apply safety standards in design and testing is preferred.
EDUCATION & SKILLS - Bachelor's degree (BS) in engineering (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent work-related experience is required.

- Must have strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Problem solving and attention to detail.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS COMPUTER/TYPING SKILLS - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
