Job Title: QA Tester / SOP Writer

Location: Hybrid - Reading, PA

Duration : 6 months CTH

Our client is a global leader in sports apparel. Distributed in over 35 countries, our client specializes in high performance, niche, branded apparel that meets exacting needs from top athletes. Its branded products have been consistently worn by Olympians, World Champions, and enthusiast amateurs for over 30 years.

They are looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester to join our team. This HYBRID onsite role combines software quality assurance testing with the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The ideal candidate is analytical, process-driven, and capable of both identifying issues in software and translating complex workflows into clear, user-friendly documentation.

This position is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
• Log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand features and ensure quality standards
• Contribute to QA process improvements and documentation of test results
  • Documentation: Write, revise, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to QA workflows, testing tools, and cross-functional processes
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to accurately document procedures, policies, and best practices
• Ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory guidelines
• Create user guides, training materials, and reference documents for internal teams
• Maintain version control and change logs for all process documents

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in QA testing, SOP writing, or technical documentation
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or similar platforms
• Ability to translate technical or complex processes into clear, user-friendly documentation
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with eCommerce testing (eg Shopify, Sitecore websites, other)
• Experience with ERP systems (eg M3, Configure Price Quote tools, other)
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) is a plus
• Familiarity with regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, pharmaceuticals) and related compliance requirements
• Experience using documentation tools like Fresh Service, Adobe FrameMaker, or Notion
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
