I. JOB SUMMARY:
The Selection Team Lead is responsible for providing direction, guidance and support to all Selection Crew Members to pick, pack, label and deliver all orders to the Outbound Department and at times, the WCF Department. The Selection Team Lead is also responsible for meeting all safety, quality, delivery and productivity expectations assigned to the Selection Department daily. This role directly contributes to the achievement of functional excellence through continuous improvement methodologies within the Distribution Center.
II. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Sustains a safe and healthy work environment through effective compliance and support of all distribution behavior-based safety and security programs
Provides exceptional service to the Outbound Department at all times and the WCF Department when needed, by ensuring all orders are processed accurately, in sequence and on time
Leads team to meet daily SQDCC performance expectations within the Selection Department
Provides direction and leadership to Selection Hourly Crew Members through effective communication, constant floor presence, consistent recognition of achievement and coaching of expectations to the team
Identifies true root causes of delivery exceptions and load quality issues, and works with the Selection Area Manager and Distribution Leadership Team to develop and implement effective solutions
Identifies and immediately corrects picking, packing, labeling and ship receiving (999) issues as defined by process requirements and SOPs
Research reported pick exceptions and delays to deliver all produce in sequence to the Outbound or WCF Departments with urgency. Work directly with Selection Area Manager to communicate needs to the Warehouse and Inventory Control Departments to drive efficient wave completion
Sustains a healthy work culture by applying and adhering to our organizational core and operational supporting values
Identifies barriers to process compliance, promotes and contributes to continuous improvement within the department and operation
Sustains housekeeping programs within the Selection Department area of responsibility
Ensures compliance with all company & departmental policies, procedures, ethical standards, and codes of conduct at all times
Demonstrates Dignity, Respect, Caring & Candor in each encounter with all Crew Members, vendors, and visitors
Perform other assignments as requested or as business needs require
III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of Distribution related experience with demonstrated leadership skills required
Previous experience in leading an effective team preferred
Knowledge of computer software including MS Office, ERP and Warehouse Management Systems preferred
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Communication Skills:
This position requires the ability to effectively communicate information both verbally and in writing to the Distribution leadership team and hourly Crew Members.
Mathematical Skills:
Mathematical skills include the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and the division of numbers including decimals and fractions. This position requires the simple use, checking, and interpretation of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, reports, forms, records and comparable data.
Reasoning Ability:
This position must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where some standardization exists. This position requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
