Job Description and Duties

This position is located in the city of Napa .

Under the general supervision of the Team Manager, Staff Services Manager I, the Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Qualified Rehabilitation Professional (SVRC-QRP) facilitates the effective delivery of services to consumers in a DOR service delivery team. The SVRC, QRP is accountable for the quality, quantity, and effectiveness of services provided to all DOR consumers and must effectively and consistently align the non-delegable duties with the delegable tasks performed by other team members for each consumer's case.

DOR is responsible for service delivery of Federal Title I Vocational Rehabilitation Services Program. These services include both DOR Student Services and vocational rehabilitation (VR) services. Where appropriate, the SVRC-QRP independently provides Pre-Employment Transition Services (Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Student Services) to Potentially Eligible (PE) and eligible students with disabilities, ages 16 through 21.

The SVRC, QRP assists potentially eligible individuals in achieving their employment goals by providing VR services that may include training, assistive technology, supported employment, and job placement support.

*This position may possibly have access to earning clinical hours with licensed supervision for interns seeking LMFT, LCSW or LPC. This would be offsite at a partner agency.

Note: Multiple positions may be available. Hiring Manager will review applications every two weeks starting 5/16/2025. Travel may be required for this position.

Degree and/or School Transcripts :
A copy of your Degree and/or School Transcripts is required. A Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, counseling or a closely related field from a recognized institution and successful completion of one graduate course with a primary focus on the Theories and Techniques in counseling is mandatory. Reliability, dependability and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential. Upon hire, applicant may be required to provide official college transcripts.

• Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts in a professional manner, and with integrity and respect;
• Ability to help facilitate expeditious resolution of problems from in-person requests, incoming phone calls and emails;
• Knowledge of DOR resources and processes, RAM, and federal and state Code of Regulations;
• High level of organizational skills and office equipment and processes proficiency;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio;
• Knowledge of department's mission and goals;
• Experience communicating with and providing information regarding DOR services to applicants and consumers
