Dave’s Hot Chicken was created by best friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenyan. Dave, a chef trained in Thomas Keller’s (French Laundry) organization set out to create the perfect Hot Chicken by searching, tasting, and frying. The four friends scrounged up $900 to put a tiny stand in an East Hollywood parking lot. The menu was simple, and the chicken was the star. Sourced and prepared to be the juiciest and most tender chicken imaginable, each piece is topped with Dave’s signature mix of spices ranging from No Spice to “The Reaper.”

NEW TO ATLANTA, AND GROWING FAST!

Looking for driven individuals who are looking to lead great restaurants, and those who are looking forward to the possibility of overseeing multiple units (not required).

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, team leadership, and inventory control. Someone who is HUNGRY, HUMBLE AND EMOTIONALLY INTELLIGENT.

Dave's Hot Chicken Shift Leads/Managers - Our DHC is hiring immediately for new Shift Leads and Supervisors to join in on the fun! You will be part of an awesome guest experience and enjoy an energetic atmosphere alongside your coworkers. We have full time and part time shifts available to fit your schedule and all DHC opportunities have flexible hours from 30 hours to 40 hours per week!

Shift Lead/Manager Responsibilities: 

• Provide support and feedback to Team Members
• Ensure shifts run smoothly and effectively
• Help with scheduling and staffing 
• Help keep store clean and presentable to guests
• Provide exceptional customer service and address concerns
• Building/Restaurant evaluations and hourly, daily checks

Shift Lead/Manager Requirements: 

• Must be 18 or older to apply
• 1-2 years of previous restaurant, management, or customer service experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Great leadership and communication skills
• Able to lift or move 50 lbs 
• Food Handlers Permit
• Available to work scheduled shift, including some weekends and holidays

Three childhood friends in their 20’s who scraped together $900. Our not-so-grand opening was in 2017, in a parking lot in East Hollywood, with a couple of folding tables and a portable fryer under the night sky.
But thanks to Instagram, people came. And tasted. And came back with their friends. Then, the buzz brought a reporter from EATER/LA. He took a bite of his first Dave’s Hot Chicken tender, and our world changed. The next day he posted, “East Hollywood’s New Late Night Hot Chicken Stand Might Blow Your Mind.”
So much was born for us in that moment. The lines went down the street and around the block. An older brother joined the team. We opened our first store. And our goal became clear. Make juicy, spicy, hot chicken that will “Blow Your Mind.”
To all the people who stand in line for hours, outside, waiting for that insane taste, do this: Reach out. Keep us honest. And keep coming back for that addictive, mind-blowing experience, just like the first bite.
Oh, and if you ever wonder whether your dreams can come true, remember us. Some guys in an East Hollywood parking lot, who started with $900 and a dream of our own.
