Bridge Inspection Engineer-Diver Job Description
We are currently seeking a Bridge Inspection Engineer-Diver. This candidate must possess a team-oriented attitude and have a passion for working outdoors and producing quality engineering products. This position will serve as a Team Leader, directing the work of team members and coordinating with clients.
Primary Responsibilities
* As Team Leader, perform bridge safety inspections for various Departments of Transportation including Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming as well as local government and private clients
* Prepare comprehensive bridge inspection reports that detail bridge conditions and defects regarding the structural integrity of bridges
* Perform as a Deputy Project Manager for bridge inspection projects
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university
* Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.)
* 4+ years of engineering experience in bridge inspection or bridge design
* ADCI diver certification
* Clear communication and organizational skills - both written and oral
* Excellent attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
* NHI Course 130055 - Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges
* NHI Course 130091 - Underwater Bridge Inspection
* CAD drafting skills (Bentley or AutoDesk Products)
* SPRAT Level 1 or higher
* Any additional NHI coursework
Percentages of Job Duties:
* 40% - Field Inspections
* 60% - Field Inspection Reporting
