About C-A-L Ranch Stores
C-A-L Ranch Stores was founded in 1959 in Idaho Falls, ID, by Clinton, Allen, and L. Wayne Murphy. The family used their initials “C-A-L” to create their brand. Our first store, located in Idaho Falls, ID was called C-A-L Ranch & Farm Supply. The store had less than 3,000 square feet and the primary products sold were tillage tools and hardware. After 60+ years of successful retail business, C-A-L Ranch Stores has grown from a single store operator to a regional retailer with multiple stores in Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. While C-A-L Ranch Stores is no longer owned by the Murphy’s, it is still privately held, and the current owners continue to operate the company with the same fundamental mission and value system.

C-A-L Ranch Stores is a Ranch & Home Store AND SO MUCH MORE! Our company is full of craftsmen, marksmen, outdoor grill masters, backyard farmers, and people who just love to hunt and fish. We are campers, hikers, dreamers, doers, and makers. We like to turn up the flavor and get in the game. We feed our chickens, love our pets, DIY, and dress to the nines for concerts, rodeos, and Sundays.
What You’ll Do
As a sales associate in Animal Health, Apparel, Sporting Goods, or Hardlines you are responsible for delivering legendary service to our customers and selling our wide range of C-A-L Ranch products and brands. It is the goal of everyone here at C-A-L Ranch Stores to seek continual improvement in all that we do.
Responsibilities
Greet customers on the sales floor in a friendly and enthusiastic manner and determine the make, type, and quality of merchandise desired.
Display merchandise, suggest selections that meet customer needs and emphasize selling points of our products such as quality and utility.
Keep shelves stocked, merchandised, tagged, and signed with appropriate pricing.
Help at cash wrap or in other departments when needed.
Offer and sell promotional items and our C-A-L Ranch credit card.
Maintains a clean, neat, and organized work area.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Qualifications
C-A-L Ranch Stores sells a variety of items, of various sizes and weights. Sales Floor Associates are required to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally engaging in assisted lifting over 50 pounds. Any lifting over 50 pounds requires the help of a hand truck and assistance from a second employee.
Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and engaging manner.
Ability to learn and use Point of Sale (POS) computer operating system.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
